Aligarh: “The
research methodology is the first step towards an invention, and judicious use
of technology can be beneficial to a researcher,” said Professor Akhtar Haseeb, former
Pro Vice-Chancellor while addressing the concluding session of a three-day
workshop on research methodology organised by the Department of Law.
He advised the law students to increase the
radius of their research as it must contain the analysis of philosophers,
understanding of courts at different levels, parliamentary and constitutional
debates concerning the day to day life of an individual.
Addressing
the gathering, Prof. Mohd. Shakeel Ahmed Samdani, Course Director and Dean,
Faculty of Law, AMU said that Law is a profession where there is no retirement
age and a lawyer can practice in court till his last breath. He advised the
delegates who attended the workshop to work hard as 'there is no substitute for
hard work.' The research scholars should focus on their research work and try
to complete their PhD. work within three years. The students and the research
scholars should respect their teachers and supervisors. He also emphasised to
preserve the great traditions of Aligarh Muslim University
